Common Questions
Frequently asked questions
What should I do if I receive a writ of summons?
Act immediately. Strict deadlines apply to enter an appearance and file a defence, and missing them can result in judgment being entered against you by default. Bring the papers to us as soon as possible so we can advise on your options and protect your position.
How does debt recovery work in Malaysia?
Recovery usually begins with a letter of demand. If payment is not made, we file a civil claim and, after judgment, enforce it through avenues such as writs of seizure and sale, garnishee proceedings, judgment debtor summonses, or bankruptcy and winding-up proceedings, depending on the debtor.
Do you handle unfair dismissal claims in the Industrial Court?
Yes. We act in Industrial Court matters, including unfair dismissal claims, for both employees and employers, from the representation stage through to hearing.
